This page describes cookies and similar technologies on breastory.com, what we use today, and how you can control storage in your browser.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies can remember a setting, keep a form session alive, or (on some sites) track you across websites. Cookies may be first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by embedded content).

Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them).

We keep cookie use to a minimum. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not show a cookie consent banner on the current site because we do not set non-essential analytics cookies.

If we add a tool that requires non-essential cookies (for example Google Analytics 4), we will update this page first and show a consent banner before those cookies are set.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for basic site features — mainly form security when you submit an enquiry or booking request. Under PECR they do not need prior consent because they are essential to the service you asked for.

Form security (CSRF) — short-lived cookies or tokens so submissions cannot be forged from another site.
WordPress admin session — only set when authorised staff sign in; not set for public visitors.

Analytics — no tracking cookies

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused provider that does not set tracking cookies and does not build cross-site profiles. Plausible collects aggregated page-view statistics (for example which pages are read most often) without storing personal identifiers in cookies.

If our analytics approach changes, this section and the site behaviour will change first — not afterwards.

What we do not use

Marketing or advertising cookies.
Retargeting pixels on social networks.
Cross-site tracking cookies.
Social-media embeds that set cookies before you interact with them.

Third-party content

Some pages load limited third-party content:

Clinic maps on location pages may load from a map provider when you choose to view an interactive map. We use click-to-load patterns where possible so third-party cookies are not set until you interact.
Embedded videos, where used, are configured in privacy-enhanced mode so cookies are not set until you play the video.

We do not embed social-media tracking pixels on this site.

How to control cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, enquiry and booking forms may not work.

Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Changes to this notice

We update this page when we add or remove cookies, embed new third-party tools, or when the law changes how we must describe them.
