The rules for using breastory.com. These are website terms — not your clinical treatment agreement.

These terms govern your use of breastory.com (the “site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms were last updated on 1 May 2026 and are subject to change. We will date any future revisions clearly at the top of this page.

What this site is — and what it is not

What it is

This site is the public-facing presence of the breast surgery practice of Dr Fiona Tsang-Wright, FRCS. It contains:

  • Information about the practice, the clinics, fees, and how to make an appointment.
  • General information about breast conditions, surgery, and recovery — written for patients and reviewed clinically.
  • A glossary of breast-related terms.
  • Longer-form pieces (insights) on common pathways and decisions.
  • Information for GPs and other referring clinicians.

What it is not

The site is not:

  • A medical consultation. Reading information on this site does not establish a doctor-patient relationship between you and Dr Tsang-Wright or anyone else at the practice.
  • A substitute for individual medical advice. General information about a condition or operation is not the same as advice tailored to your specific situation.
  • An emergency service. If you have a clinical emergency — for example, severe symptoms, sudden serious changes — call 999 or NHS 111 in the UK, or your local emergency service.
  • A booking system that confirms appointments automatically. Appointments are confirmed by the practice PA after a request through the contact page or directly by phone or email.

No doctor-patient relationship via the website

Using this site, reading any of its pages, or sending an enquiry through the contact page does not create a doctor-patient relationship. A doctor-patient relationship is established only when you have had a formal consultation with Dr Tsang-Wright, either in person, by telephone, or by video.

If you act — or refrain from acting — on the basis of general information found on this site rather than on personalised medical advice, you do so at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to seek individual advice from a qualified clinician (your GP, your hospital team, or a private breast specialist) for any clinical decision.

Information on the site

We aim to keep clinical content on the site accurate, current, and clinically reviewed. Specifically:

  • Each glossary entry, services page, and insights piece is reviewed by Dr Tsang-Wright, with the review date displayed.
  • We update content when guidelines, evidence, or the practice’s approach changes.
  • We aim for plain language at a Year-9 reading age for patient-facing material.

That said, medical information evolves. We cannot guarantee that the site is up-to-date at every moment, particularly for fast-moving areas such as systemic cancer therapy. The site is no substitute for current clinical advice from your treating team.

Use of the site

You may:

  • Read the content for your own use.
  • Share links to specific pages with friends, family, GPs, or other clinicians.
  • Quote short excerpts with attribution to Breastory.
  • Print pages for personal use, including taking them to consultations.

You may not:

  • Reproduce the content elsewhere (online or in print) without permission.
  • Use the content for commercial purposes — including republishing on other healthcare websites — without a written licence.
  • Frame or embed pages of the site in a way that misrepresents their origin.
  • Modify the content in a way that misrepresents the practice’s clinical position.

Intellectual property

All text, layout, design, and original imagery on the site are the intellectual property of Breastory Limited unless explicitly attributed to another source. Where we link to or quote from external resources (NHS, Cancer Research UK, Breast Cancer Now, peer-reviewed papers, etc.), the underlying content remains the property of those organisations.

The Breastory name and any associated logos are trademarks of Breastory Limited.

The site contains links to external websites — for example, to NHS information, to peer-reviewed papers, to professional organisations, and to patient-support charities. We provide these because we think they are useful. We do not control external sites and are not responsible for their content.

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please read the privacy policy for details about how we handle personal information collected through the site, the contact form, and your interactions with the practice.

Booking and consultations

Information about booking consultations, fees, and what an appointment involves is set out on the contact and fees and insurance pages. The terms of any consultation — what the consultation is for, what is shared with whom, what records are kept — are explained at the time of booking and at the consultation itself.

Limitation of liability

We make every reasonable effort to ensure the site is accurate, secure, and available. We do not, however, guarantee that the site will always be available, free of errors, or compatible with every device and browser. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence in the provision of medical care, which is governed separately by professional regulations and contract law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Significant changes will be flagged on the home page for a reasonable period after they are made. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
